Central govt warns states over Monkey pox

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The monkeypox virus is circulating all over Europe. At present, five people each have been infected with monkeypox in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, the United States and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, the Centre has warned the states about the new virus. An advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry said, "Passengers arriving from Europe will have to be admitted to the hospital if they have a rash on their body. Just like infectious diseases, precautionary measures have to be taken. Different samples of the body of the person concerned have to be collected. And this sample is at the National Institute of Virology in Pune. If the disease is detected, the people who came in contact with the patient should be quickly found. '
