By a Staff Reporter: Ranil Wickremesinghe has just taken over as Sri Lanka's prime minister amid an economic crisis following the resignation of Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing financial assistance to Sri Lanka in times of economic crisis. The new Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has said that India-Sri Lanka relations will be further strengthened during his tenure.
