By a Staff Reporter : Magh Mela is starting from 14th January.It will continue till Shivratri on March 1, 2022.Preparations for the fair have already started in Prayagraj.Work is underway to set up tents on the banks of the Ganges.During this time six days are special for to the devotees.Makar Sankranti on 14th and 15th of January, Poush full moon on 17th January, Mauni new moon on 1st February, Basant Panchami on 5th February, Maghi full moon on 18th February, Shivaratri on 1st March.The state government has approved a budget of Tk 59 crore for Magh Mela.IAS officer Shesmani Pandey has been appointed as the fair officer.Maghmela premises will be divided into 6 parts.Attendees at the fair have been asked to complete the dose of the vaccine. Test centers will be set up at the fair premises.
